Based on a stage play by Yasmina Reza, Carnage examines the violence and aggression simmering just below the surface of middle-class respectability and politeness. Two sets of parents meet up to discuss an incident that took place in a park involving their respective children. What starts off as a civilised evening and a mature discussion ends up as an alcohol-fuelled night of aggression and well, carnage – aimed at the other couple and their own spouses. Black comedy of the highest order.
