Over the summer, White Noise brought its bass-fuelled party vibes to The Junction for what has probably become the most talked about club night in Cambridge of recent times. And after an even better round 2 in early September, the White Noise juggernaught could not fit into the busy clubbing schedule at The Junction in October. But October has been and gone and now November is lucky enough to be getting the next dose of White Noise on bonfire night as well. to start the month off with a bang. Get it?
It’s all about the music man
It sounds a bit cliché but it’s also really very true. White Noise don’t book big name DJs that hike up the door price. Instead they’ve got 3 Cambridge residents who can do just as good a job so they can keep the ticket price as low as £4, which is probably cheaper than anywhere in town on a Saturday night. Squeaks, Penny For The DJ and David Venn are the purveyors of White Noise’s unique brand of electronic party-starting bangers and judging by the chants for ‘one more tune!’ last time around, these guys ain’t half bad.
The extras
Actually, it’s not all about the music and White Noise always try and give punters as much as possible for your money. So this time White Noise welcome back their hugely popular sumo suit arena as well as a load of free UV giveaways, a live visuals show on the legendary 15-foot retro TV, drinks from only £2 and of course free taxis! Yes, that’s right, free taxi’s to The Junction. All you have to do is get a taxi with Cam Cab with at least 3 mates and bring your taxi receipt to the door when you’re paying and White Noise will pay up to £7 (the normal price from the city centre) back for your taxi fare. Aren’t they generous?
White Noise, Saturday 5 November. 22:00-04:00. Cost: £4 advance, £5 before midnight, £6 after. The Junction, Clifton Way. T: 01223 51151
