Colin Clark (Redmayne) is an assistant working on the making of the movie The Prince and the Showgirl in Britain, starring Marilyn Monroe (Williams) and Laurence Olivier (Branagh). Marilyn is combining filming with her honeymoon after getting married to playwright Arthur Miller (Scott) but is desperate to get away from the pressures of her burgeoning fame. So when Miller pops off back home for a week, Marilyn escapes to the British countryside in the company of young Colin for an unforgettable adventure. To Basingstoke, and beyond!
